Pheasant Hunting

The origins of Ozaukee County Fish & Game go back to the post-war 40's, established primarily for pheasant hunting and growing into the pheasant release hunting preserve and multi-purpose club that it is today.  Every weekend, both Saturday and Sunday, from the first week in October through February (less holidays, deer gun hunting season and severe weather) pheasants are released in 5-6 different hunting areas either owned or leased by the organization.

Approximately 2500 pheasant are released and harvested each year.
